We keep our classes small to give you the best experience in learning first aid. If you would like us for your company we can come onsite and will take a minimum of 4 and maximum of 18 in a class, we can do more but will need to bring a second Instructor. We offer St.John Ambulance, Red Cross, or Lifesaving Society Courses!
Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Standard First Aid with CPR-C
This two-day course covers all the skills in Emergency First Aid plus first aid for other injuries and illnesses including head and spinal injuries, fractures of the upper and lower limbs. This course includes Level C CPR training and certification (Adult, Child, Infant, and 2-rescuer resuscitation) and AED training and certification.
Childcare First Aid with CPR-C
First Aid with a childcare focus
Course: $100 Recert:$65
Course focuses on procedures for assisting adults, infants and children along with two rescuer procedures.
Any of the courses listed above may be recertified by attending a one day clinic. Candidates are advised to practice their skills as their will be little time for more than skill assessment in the clinic. Must have current certification to attend recertification clinic.
Wilderness & Remote First Aid
Available upon request
Duration: 20 hours (more than 25% of course taught in non-urban setting, if possible Flexible scheduling. Basic level of Wilderness & Remote First Aid that covers material in Standard First Aid & CPR, plus special material on techniques for wilderness and remote areas. Course also offers strategies for providing extended care for up to 24 hours. Part of the course is taught in an outdoor setting and requires greater physical activity and endurance than typical first aid training. Suitable for those who work or live in remote locations or who are outdoor recreation enthusiasts.
Advanced Wilderness & Remote First Aid
Duration: 40 hours minimum 50% of course in non-urban setting). Flexible scheduling options. Comprehensive first aid and CPR techniques for those who need a higher level of training to work and respond to emergencies in isolated or wilderness settings. Training is also suitable for those who act as guides or supervisors for groups of people. The course covers material in Standard First Aid & CPR, plus advanced strategies for providing extended care for more than 24 hours. Part of the course is taught in an outdoor setting and requires greater physical activity and endurance than typical first aid training.
